Lillie Pearl Mosley Drummer, affectionately known to family and friends as "Suke", was born on May 24, 1953, in Garfield, Georgia, to the late James “Jimmy” and Deloris (Brown) Mosley.
Lillie grew up in Bulloch County, received her early childhood education in Statesboro, GA, and was a 1973 graduate of Marvin Pittman School. Following graduation, she gained employment and began her career at Georgia Southern University, dedicating many years of her life to working at the Landrum Center. She remained committed to the establishment until her retirement.
Known for her quiet and meek personality, Lillie endeared all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a wrestling enthusiast and enjoyed watching wrestling matches and western shows on TV. She was a gentle soul, a cherished member of the Bulloch County community, and a source of comfort and support for her loved ones.
Lillie passed away peacefully during the afternoon of April 26, 2025, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life. Her kindness and gentle spirit will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
Lillie was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, James, Lee Ander, and Carl Mosley Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted son, Bernal Drummer Jr.(Rachel), of Statesboro, GA; two granddaughters, Deyanna Drummer and Daiyonah Jackson; two grandsons, Brandon Drummer and Nathaniel Huff Jr. (Destiny); two great-grandsons Nathaniel Huff III and James Huff; one brother, Douglas Grant of Swainsboro, GA; a devoted special cousin and caregiver, Joyce Byrd, and special nephew, Carl Mosley Jr. (Stacey), both ofStatesboro, GA; Home Health Aide and caregiver Helen OSullivan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will remember her fondly.
A Celebration of Life honoring Lillie Mosley Drummer will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Elm Street Church of God, 29 Elm Street, Statesboro, GA, with Apostle Shane Mosley, eulogist, and Minister Tracey Williams, presiding. The Reverend Dr. Alexander Smith is the pastor.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM.at the Elm Street Church of God, 29 Elm Street, Statesboro, 30458, with Apostle Shane Mosley, eulogist, Minister Tracey Williams, presiding. The Reverend Dr. Alexander Smith is the pastor. Lillie’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life. Her kindness and gentle spirit will be missed dearly by all who loved her. Final disposition will be via cremation.
A walk-through viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Ms. Drummer will lie in state at the church from noon until the funeral hour. There will be no viewing after the eulogy.
